Senior Yoga (Barre Senior Center)
Tuesday 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

This is a gentle chair yoga class for all those interested in maintaining and improving mobility, balance and strength.


Yoga and Meditation (White Elephant)
Wednesday 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM

This is a gentle class, suitable for all students. An hour of asana practice is followed by a half-hour of guided sitting meditation. Go home feeling relaxed and refreshed!


Restorative & Immune Boosting (Karuna)
Friday 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

This is a quiet practice, suitable for everyone. Resting for several minutes at a time in a series of comfortable, supported positions, with instructions for deepening relaxation helps to re-energize the body and build the immune system. Restorative poses relieve stress in several ways: moving the spine gently in all directions balances our energy, resting on props creates a supportive environment for deep relaxation, and staying comfortably in postures opens our hips, hearts, shoulders and other tense areas. This class will leave you feeling refreshed and re-energized.


Meditation (Karuna)
Friday 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

This is an informal group sitting time immediately following the Restorative Yoga Class. After a session of restorative yoga, the body and mind tend to be more settled and peaceful. We take the opportunity to sit quietly for 20 to 30 minutes. Those who have not attended the restorative class are welcome to join us. I offer instructions whenever beginner meditation students are present or upon request.


Iyengar Inspired (Listening)
Sunday 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM

This class helps students develop a clear understanding of asanas by practicing good alignment and full presence in each pose. Each week we focus on a particular theme, e.g. linking breath with motion or grounding the base of the pose to create length. Exertion is moderate - you can expect to feel challenged in some positions, more confident in others. The class, which strongly emphasizes yoga as a tool for cultivating kindhearted awareness, is suitable for most people.


Solo Lessons and Private Classes

Individual consultations are important for anyone interested in deepening their practice. The one-to-one support allows you to ask questions and deepen your understanding in a way the classes don´t. For newly avid students, I recommend a series of 3-6 private sessions. Please contact me to schedule a time. Fees are on a sliding scale. Private classes for groups are also available, and can be a great way to introduce your friends or family members to yoga. Private sessions are available at all three locations.
